Flotilla Sailing in Greece

The Ionian islands off the west coast of Greece are perfect for flotilla sailing holidays.

Lighter winds and shorter passages make the Ionian ideal for a relaxed flotilla sailing holiday. We offer a choice of flotilla sailing itineraries for 1 and 2 weeks.

Navigation is straightforward with no tides, currents or other hazards. There are good sailing breezes late morning through the afternoon, but winds rarely exceed Force 5. Anchor in picturesque bays or moor up in bustling fishing harbours.

One-week flotillas start and finish at Palairos, a charming harbour on the Greek mainland coast just south-east of the Lefkas Canal, and only 20 minutes from Preveza airport. It faces Lefkas Island and gives easy access to the islands of the Southern Ionian. The flotilla itinerary includes the islands of Levkas, Meganissi, Kalamos, Kastos, Ithaca and Cephalonia. These sheltered waters offer an unlimited number of tranquil bays and enchanting fishing harbours.

Every other week the 2-week flotilla sails a one-way itinerary starting in Corfu and finishing in Palairos, or vice versa. This extends the cruising area during one week to include Corfu, Paxos and mainland Greece and gives a splendid 30-mile passage at the end of the first week. The other week follows the popular Palairos-Palairos itinerary giving you plenty of time to cruise the islands of the southern Ionian.
